Scott and Emily came over a couple of weeks ago for a Valentine's Day Eve dinner.

Steph was in charge of decorating the table.

Abby was in charge of the meal.

Pasta with Chicken, Broccoli, and Sun-dried Tomatoes, Peas, Raspberry Ice Tea and Velvet Chocolate Kisses.

Steve said this dessert was one of the top 3 foods he had ever put in his mouth. He couldn't think what the other two would be, but wanted to leave room for improvement. Abby found the recipe on
this site. It's red velvet cake crumbled up and mixed with cream cheese frosting, formed into Hershey kisses, and coated with a chocolate ganache (cream and melted chocolate).

Train your kids to cook and clean and someday you can sit back and enjoy the fruit of your labor. :)

i hope my mom feels that at some point she was able to do just that...sit back and enjoy....maybe, just a little?!
Well, you can tell I don't get here very often. Just saw my dear daughter's comment on your blog, and in case she sees this, yes, I've been able to sit back and enjoy many fabulous meals at her house!
